ABOUT AERIALICIOUS STUDIOS

Tami Dawson is a world-class aerialist, physiotherapist, and performance coach whose career spans more than two decades across Australia and the international stage.

Since beginning her professional career in 2002 with Ashton’s Circus, Tami has performed on over 13 aerial apparatus, including lyra, silks, rope, and unique specialty acts – as well as partner acrobatics, contortion, and roving performance art. Her talent has taken her around the world, earning her recognition as one of Australia’s most versatile and accomplished aerial performers.

In 2010, she founded Aerialicious Entertainment – a high-end circus entertainment company that quickly became one of the most prestigious names in the corporate and special events industry across the Asia-Pacific region. Under her artistic direction, Aerialicious delivered breathtaking performances for brands such as Virgin Airlines, Lendlease, Tourism Queensland, and the Queensland Government, and went on to produce acclaimed stage shows including The Sparkly Taboo and the award-winning production “UP LATE” (Winner, Best Circus and Dance Show – Anywhere Festival 2024).

Beyond the spotlight, Tami is also a registered physiotherapist (University of Queensland, First Class Honours), specialising in performing arts medicine, hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD/EDS), and injury prevention for circus artists, dancers, and gymnasts. Her unique dual expertise in movement and medicine allows her to coach through a lens of precision biomechanics and performer longevity – integrating physiotherapy principles into every training session.

As the founder of Aerialicious Studios, Tami trains students from around the world in aerial artistry, contortion, and act creation – both online and in person from her Woolloongabba studio. Her workshops and guest residencies have reached national and international audiences, empowering the next generation of circus artists to perform safely, sustainably, and spectacularly
